Newsletter Advertising Secrets...

You will be doing a big amount of work to advertise on other people's newsletters. Usually you're required to stay subscribed for an amount of time in order to get your advert published.

My recommendation is get yourself a free email account that you will use for this part of your business.

I strongly recommend you get an email account at zWallet. You'll get a 2 Megabyte account for free and you'll get paid for sending and receiving email. If you get a hotmail account for this effect you might find your entry refused.

Use this method to also learn what your competition is up to. You can always learn from the competition.

Make the best of your subscription by helping the newsletter owner with articles you've written. You'll learn a bit more about that further down this page.

   The Super Advertiser...

When advertising to a newsletter or subscriber base, you'll find that if you have a good ad you will get only about two to eight percent purchase rate (that is unless you have a pretty wicked and revolutionary product).

This rate is pretty good and I'll show you why...

For example, If you advertise to one thousand people and you get a sale rate of one percent then you've made ten sales. I used the ridiculously low success rate of 1% just to show you how you could be making money.

If your product is selling at $19.99 that means you've just made $199. And this probably took you only 10 minutes to place the ad.

You can place as many ads as you'd like but you should keep track of which lists or which ads got the most results.

But there is a way of maximising these results. Statistics show that people will very rarely buy from you the first time they see your ad. The trick is to send more than one ad to the same list. In fact this is the structure you should use.

On the first ad, you should introduce yourself very briefly and talk about what you're doing and promote your website.   Speak about the need for your product. Speak about something your customers hate. If you're selling digital camera's to fisherman so they can prove the fish they caught was really "this big", say something like

"Don't you hate how sometimes you wish you had a camera with you?" and develop on that. This is just a very crude example.

On the second ad, say it is you again and try to inspire hope in your prospective customer. Try mentioning a story of success. Or maybe have a thank-you  letter from someone who bought from you and is happy he/she did.

On the third ad, you should mention it is you again and that you are sorry you didn't hear from your customer. Ad a copy of your previous two ads or letters.

On the fourth ad, mention they could have joined you in that peace of mind that your product will satisfy. Show mild disappointment. Mention other smart people have already bought from you and are very pleased. If you're selling the cameras to fishermen ask "Can you prove your friends the fish was really this big?".

This is a very very powerful technique! Although the example is crude it has it's truth. It's also the basis of your autoresponder.

You should use this type of advertising to establish a relationship with your prospective customers. This sort of technique has shown an increasing success rate from ad to ad.

It's not unusual to find your sale rate increasing from 8% to 15% from ad to ad..

This means, If you advertise to a group of one thousand people and have a success rate of only eight percent per ad then, in four ads you sold your product to 32% of that list! That is over $600 into your pocket.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist inserting a bit of math. But the only way to maximise profits is by creating relationships with your customers and then resell to them over and over again. This is what's called the backend.

How many times will I have to say before you really get the message?

Remember your goal? When I asked you to write on your notebook "My goal is to acquire customers" there was a good reason for it. Keep a healthy relationship with your customers and you just can't go wrong.

Again, this is the type of follow-up you should be using in your Sequential Autoresponder.
